What was the most surprising thing you learned about other TMP student?

How similar they are to me. I have often felt like the odd one out but meeting some other TMP students it felt like I have found my crowd, it really surprised me how very many similarities we shared.
How willing to help they are and that everybody wants to get in touch with each other.
Maybe it is not that surprising, but I enjoyed hearing what they thought about my country and customs and vice versa sharing my opinions about theirs. I learned about many different views and it helped me look at things from different perspectives.
One guy was engaged, another one organized an art fair, and a third one had a twin brother, who studied physics at a different university.
