(19.04.) p-adic CFT is a tensor network

Charles Melby-Thompson (Würzburg)

p-adic CFT describes a generalization of the axioms of CFT over the p-adic numbers. Recent work has shown that many structures of the AdS/CFTcorrespondence also extend to p-adic CFT, with the bulk dual geometry described by an infinite tree. There has also been much interest in a possible relationship between tensor networks and holography. We show that, in the case of p-adic CFT, holography and tensor networks are the same: the axioms of p-adic CFT are equivalent to a tensor network on the bulk dual geometry.
