Seminar by Dr. Jeongmin Shim: Thermal and spatial entanglement of multi-channel Kondo cloud

In this talk, I present how the Kondo screening cloud in multi-channel quantum impurity systems is characterized by the entanglement between the impurity and bath electrons. We developed a numerical renormalization group (NRG) method for computing the entanglement [1]. With this, we investigated the thermal suppression of the cloud, exhibiting a power-law entanglement decay at low temperatures with an exponent depending on a scaling dimension [2]. Recently, we have identified that the entanglement also captures the spatial profile of the cloud, such as a shell-like structure arising from channel-anisotropic systems and a power-law tail [3].
