Anyons are fascinating quasiparticles with exotic quantum statistics. Their bizarre properties are described with complex mathematical languages, what sometimes hinders our physical understanding and insight into the structure and interconnections between the possible anyon models arising in nature.
In this talk I will present my work „Boson Lattice Construction for Anyon Models“. This work makes a shift in our physical understanding of anyons It establishes a duality between the complex mathematical properties of anyons and the intuitive physical properties of systems of bosons in a lattice. Moreover, it establishes a duality between anyons and curved space geometries, between anyons and gravity.
I develop a construction to systematically generate and interconnect anyon models. The construction unveils a fractal, self-similar structure in the space of anyon models: assembling identical anyon models, a more complex anyon model is engendered, which serves itself as as building-block to generate other, even more complex, anyon models.
This work further opens a fruitful path for experimental exploration of the mathematics of anyons within the versatile playground of boson-lattice systems.
