Exactly solvable model of the Mach-Zehnder electronic interferometer

In my talk I discuss the out-of-equilibrium properties in an electronic
Mach-Zehnder interferometer (MZI) realized with chiral edge states in the
integer quantum Hall regime. After reviewing the experimental status of the
problem, I present an exactly solvable theoretical model of the MZI, where
electrons are assumed to interact only when they are inside the interferometer.
I will show that in the limit of strong interaction the MZI problem becomes
intrinsically connected to the theory of electron full counting statistics
in mesoscopic transport and to asymptotic properties of the generalized
Toeplitz determinants and will demonstrate that the "lobe" pattern in the
Aharonov-Bohm visibility observed in many recent experiments can be understood
as the many-body interference effect resulting from the quantum superposition of

many-particle scattering amplitudes.
