WP45 Quantum Field Theory (K4)

This course covers the following topics: Basic concepts, path integral representation, Green functions and scatting sections, renormalization, symmetries and relativistic particles with spin, spinor fields and particles with spin 1⁄2, vector fields and gauge symmetry.

The main goal of this course is to get acquainted with foundational concepts in modern quantum field theory both from a physical and mathematical perspective, to learn about areas of application and to get to know an important tool for further research projects.
