WP19 Cosmology (TC2)
The module covers the following topics: Kinematics and dynamics of the expanding universe. This includes propagation of light and horizons, hot universe, nucleosynthesis, recombination, the very early universe, inflation, gravitational instability in the Newtonian theory, small perturbations according to general relativity, quantum fluctuations as the origin of the large scale structure of the universe, CMB fluctuations. The module conveys acquaintance with the basic concepts of cosmology.
