WP15 Lie groups and their represenations (MB1)
The module covers the following topics: Lie groups and Lie algebras, homogeneous spaces, maximal tori, roots and weights, semisimple Lie algebras, classification theory, representations of the classical groups. The most important aim is a general understanding of the structure theory of classical Lie groups, their representations, and their homogeneous spaces, as a basis for applications in geometry and physics.
