The topological string on arbitrary toric manifolds as a matrix model

I will present a matrix model that reproduces the topological string partition function on a given toric Calabi-Yau manifold. This allows harnessing matrix model technology for computations in the topological string setting. In particular, in view of the Eynard/Orantin formalism, I will compute the spectral curve of the matrix model and show that it coincides with the mirror curve of the Calabi-Yau geometry, thus providing a derivation of the BKMP conjecture.
