Supersymmetry Breaking in Warped Deformed Throats

Nick Halmagyi (Saclay)

Anti-D3 branes in warped deformed throats is an interesting method of breaking supersymmetry, with applications to string theoretic models of cosmology and also strongly coupled field theories. I will discuss the supergravity computation of the backreaction of a stack of anti-D3 branes in the warped deformed conifold and Stenzel space and present some simple yet remarkable results for the brane/anti-brane potential in these backgrounds.
