We provide an introduction to two classes of integrable deformations that deform the Principal Chiral Model and the Wess-Zumino Witten model and highlight their connection via a generalised notion of T-duality. We study the simplest example, the SU(2) \eta-deformed theory on $R\timesS_1$ with twisted boundary conditions. We study the large order behaviour of perturbation theory of the ground state energy, and show that this precisely encodes certain non-perturbative information exemplifying the phenomenon of resurgence.
