I review work done in collaboration with E. Bersghoeff and P.
Townsend on a novel version of massive gravity in three dimensions. The
action is quadratic in curvatures, and it propagates unitarily a massive
graviton with two polarisation states of helicity +2/-2. The model appears
to be (super-)renormalizable and admits black hole and cosmological
solutions. Unitarity and stability of its cosmological vacua are examined
as well as supersymmetric extensions and the relation to `chiral gravity'.
