(31.01.) BPS black holes and mock modularity of higher depth

Using dualities of string theory, I derive modular constraints on the generating function of degeneracies of BPS black holes which arise as D4-D2-D0 bound states in Calabi-Yau compactifications of Type IIA string theory. The function is labeled by the divisor wrapped by D4- brane and when the divisor is irreducible, it is known to be modular. I show that in the case of a reducible divisor, the modularity is lost, but can be restored in a non-holomorphic completion. I find a general form of the completion for arbitrary degree of reducibility which shows that the original generating function is a higher depth mock modular form.
