(14.07) Bounds on Kaluza–Klein spin-two fields

The spin-two KK tower of a gravity compactification is governed by the spectrum of a weighted Laplacian. I will show several bounds on its eigenvalues, valid in a large class of gravity theories, including ten- and eleven-dimensional supergravity. The proofs involve the mathematical theory of optimal transport, which deals with how probability distributions evolve on curved spaces.
