The group of Prof. Dr. H. Ruhl investigates the physics ultra-strong electromagnetic fields. Research focuses on the transport formulation of nonlinear quantum field theories and specifically on the properties of the nonlinear vacuum and reaction forces. Another line of research is the development of an advanced adaptive simulation framework for nonlinear quantum electrodynamics.
