Effects of electron-phonon coupling on transmission through Luttinger Liquid with a single impurity

We show that electron-phonon coupling strongly affects transport properties of a Luttinger Liquid containing impurities of several types. In case of a structureless barrier a rich phase diagram with up to three fixed point is found. Depending on parameters the system can exhibit a range of properties, from insulator to an ideal metal. For the impurity with a discrete localised state electron-phonon coupling modifies the effective width of the energy level, thereby changing its coupling to conduction electrons, and leading to a metal-insulator transition.
