(18.11.) New perspectives on pure spinor superfields

We present a new and nontraditional perspective on the construction of supersymmetric multiplets using the pure spinor superfield formalism. Our approach makes use of techniques from homological algebra, in particular the homotopy transfer theorem, and shows how various properties of the physical multiplet are related to the algebraic geometry of the space of square-zero supercharges. We construct the formalism in any dimension and for any amount of supersymmetry; it also applies to examples that are not supersymmetry algebras in a traditional sense. Given time, we will comment on progress towards reconstructing the pure spinor superfield from the component multiplet. (The talk is based on 2111.01162.)
