The condensed matter theory group of the Ludwig-Maximilians University Munich, led by Jan von Delft and Matthias Punk, invites applications for PhD and postdoc positions.
The group deals with a broad range of topics, including quantum transport through mesoscopic and nanostructured systems, strong electron correlations, nonequilibrium phenomena, spintronics, physical implementations of quantum computation and decoherence.
The group's research at the Arnold Sommerfeld Center for Theoretical Physics and the Center for NanoScience is embedded in a number of collaborative research networks, which support strong links to other theoretical and experimental groups in Munich and beyond:
- The cluster of excellence "Nanosystems Initiative Munich" (NIM) of the German excellence initiative
- The Munich Quantum Center
If you are interested in joining our group, please contact us to enquire whether open positions are available.
Please send the application material (CV including publication list) directly to firstname.lastname@example.org and/or
