I am interested in the theoretical physics of biologically motivated systems far from
  • embryonic morphogenesis
  • understanding the complex dynamics in stochastic spatial population models
  • genotypic and phenotypic heterogeneity in bacterial populations
  • design principles of gene regulatory networks
  • statistics of rare events in reaction-diffusion systems
