A new look at modular integrals in string theory

I will introduce a new procedure for computing a class of one-loop modular integrals of interest in (lower-dimensional) string theory. It has the special property of keeping T-duality manifest throughout and allows one to neatly extract the singularity structure of the integrals at points of gauge symmetry enhancement. The new method is based on the Rankin-Selberg transform and on a suitable Poincaré-series representation of the elliptic genus.
