The chair of Prof. Mukhanov works in theoretical Astroparticle Physics and Cosmology. Fields of research include Inflationary Cosmology and String Theory. The group is composed of two professors, seven research associates, four PhD students and four diploma students.
The group is a part of the TRR 33 - The Dark Universe - the Transregional Collaborative Research Centre which is a joint network with the University of Heidelberg and the University of Bonn.
In addition the group participates in the Excellence Cluster "Origin and Structure of the Universe".
